EL DELTA DE L’EBRE

Programmed trip to “El Delta de l’Ebre” for 14 to 18 years old guys for less than ₤200.

Are you looking for a group trip? You want to make some fun with your friends? Don’t stand still, come with us to El Delta de l’Ebre, in the south of Catalonia it has a hot climate in summer so it’s perfect for sailing and other activities. Also in summer the rice that has been planted a few months ago has just become green and the whole delta is full of that colour because apart of the beaches there’s an 80% of rice plantation what is the first source of income of El Delta.

 That place is usually full of water so it’s so recommendable to take with you solar protection and also mosquitoes repellent because of the mosquitoes. You probably will go to the beach so bring with you as many swimming clothes as you can.

Our hotel will be Hotel la Ràpita*, the place of that hotel is perfect, is at less than 100m of the beach and is also in the centre of the village. The rooms are very spacious and it may have views of the sea. We are going to take a flight from England to Barcelona and then a coach to St Carles de la Ràpita, Delta de l’Ebre. And then, one time we are installed into the hotel the same coach will be moving us to the places that we want to move in the delta.

In El Delta the most popular food is the rice, that is cultivated in the own land, and also other think that is poplar from there are the mussels, that are also cultivated in the coast, at 50 meters from the beach.

One of the most popular activities is to go to l’Oservatori de l’Ebre, where it has great views of the whole delta and we can also visit the museum, which is nearly an historic building, it’s there since 1904.

Also at 5 minutes from the observatory. it’s the “Castell de la Suda”, in Tortosa, it has nice views of the delta.

You are not going to be bored in there; we have lots of activities to have lots of fun. There are cycling excursions to every place in the delta. Also you cannot go back home if you haven’t done the sailing lessons in the Mediterranean Sea.

If we are lucky we are going to see some of the 320 birds in there, like the flamingos, they migrate from Africa in summer and they are in El Delta until it’s too cold to stay there. When they come they’re white and after a few months they turn its plumage pink.

Also we will see lots of plants in there, like the greats rice plantations, but also we can see the “sossa”, the plant from where the salt was madeyears ago, that was the old way to earn money of el delta before was discovered that the rice could be easily planted there.

And all these would bejust for the reduced price of 230€ or ₤195. Everything included, hotel, transport, activities in group, and if you are not travelling in company of your parents we also have guardians to take care of you.
